Stevens 416 .22lr US GOVERNMENT TRAINER. Gun retains 98% of an old re-parkerization, very possibly arsenal redone. All markings are clear with light pitting under the finish. US PROPERTY marked on the left side of the receiver. Fine mechanical function. Fine wood stock with some light handling marks. Proper receiver sight. Has the proper original scope blocks on it. Adjustable front sight. The bolt appears to have been cleaned at some point, also has some minor pitting. Hard gun to find in any condition. Roughly 10,000 of these were purchased by the US government during WWII. 26 inch heavy barrel. Original 5 round magazine.
